All of us deal with conflict every day. Conflict arises when the concerns of two people appear to be incompatible. In this workshop you’ll learn to manage conflict in the workplace and make conflict productive and healthy.

Participants engage in a series of small and large group discussions and exercises to demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of each conflict style and the appropriate times to use the different styles. There is an emphasis placed on using the style appropriate to the situation, rather than defaulting to an individual preference for managing conflict in order to achieve success.

By examining your own conflict situations through the filter of a conflict model, as well as through interactive role-plays and a lengthy case study, you’ll have the opportunity to practice conflict resolution. The focus is on finding a solution that meets everyone’s interests.

Is it always possible? No, it’s not. At the same time, it’s vital for leaders to approach conflict situations with the mindset that a solution agreeable to all is possible. Knowing your own conflict handling style, combined with the confidence that the model works, will give you the ability to resolve conflict and achieve success you didn’t imagine possible.
